Thinking of job in elementary teaching.....?

I am an ambitious 7th grade student and am thinking about going into elementary age teaching when I become older - from first to fifth grade. I have some questions for teachers of this age group:

a) What is the average salary of an elementary teacher?
b) What does a teacher have to prepare for class?
c) What is a normal schedule for an elementary school teacher?

B) lessons for the next 2 weeks, lots of photocopies, weekly principal meetings on subjects, parent meetings

P.S. Pre K and kindergarten is a joke compared to setting up older kids gradework. Try setting up a 3rd grade classes week and getting them to pass the state exams.

and a normal shedule is one clas to pe and library time, just the basics, and depends on what school, did you do alot of moving around when you were in elementary school, plus there is this nice program that i learned from it was like sfa, its for reading and it helped me alot it got me into honers english in highschool, and they still teach it at that school. and as well as many others!
