I'm so fed up with everyone who thinks gays and lesbians are wrong and shouldn't be able to get married!!! Love is love; there are no freaking rules to it! O ya and to all of those Christians out there who think that those people are going to hell and you should therefore try to "save them from sin," helping them is really the least of your worries right now. GOD LOVES PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT. HE LOVES EVERYONE!!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD! O ya and one more thing: if people vote that homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to get married, and they say it's because "it's an unsafe and unhealthy relationship that could result in serious sickness of either party," then I'm telling you right here and now: that's total crap! Anyone who agrees with me?

I sooo agree!!
Christians don't seem to understand that god created different people for reasons only known to god.

I don't think its thier business at all....
How would they like it if we said they act CRAZY and INSANE the way they carry on about things???
Makes us look a lot more sane.

Oooooh
Isn't there a song that says "I know Jesus loves me cause the bible tells me so" (or something along the lines......) I think that applies to EVERY SINGLE PERSON..... even people that don't deserve it. (Murders, rapists....etc)

See?? they are wasting all thier time on being awful to homosexuals when theres BAD people out there..... shouldn't murders, rapists, voilently crude people and so on need to be saved more than anything???

I totally agree with you!

Marriage is a loving bond and spiritual commitment between two people who love each other, not our government. I'm Gay. If I decide I love some one to tangle up with financially, and any other way, I will find a way. I'm not waiting for Joe Hick Fundie to approve.

Still I believe that I should have the same legal rights as heterosexuals.

I think this whole marriage thing being sacred for only a male and female completely bogus. When I worked in a bindery (making books / printing), when we would merge one component with another we called it "marrying"... Sh*t, if the book and its cover can get "married", then so can I!!!!

Gregory

PS. Just because I can doesn't mean I will. Relationships are a B-itch!

Same-sex marriage is totally legal now in Canada, and it does not seem to have had any effect on"non_gay" unions. They are still getting divorced at an alarming rate. No church HAS to perform these marriages but the largest Protestant denomination does. That's the United Church of Canada, (Methodists, Congregationalist and about 1/2 of the Presbyterians joined together in the 30s to become "The U.C.ofC".) Things are improving, but it takes time.

I totally agree with you. I believe that we like to find people in our world who we can put at a lower place on the ladder than ourselves because it makes us feel better about who we are. I also believe political leaders (and religious leaders) take advantage of this tendency because it gives them power. Those who love to quote the Bible on this, often ignore so many other verses which would make them sinners as well - no shellfish, men should not shave their beard, no pork, etc. It is because some heterosexuals feel so insecure in their own sexuality that they feel the need to attack gays and lesbians.

I totally agree with you on all you said.
But sad to say to you :I do not see a sudden change happening over there,if ever.
As long as that idiot Bush is in power nothing of gay rights will get passed in any law.
Rude,you said?
Never of my life saw such bad language as here on Yahoo answers.Insulting.offending,degrading,accusing etc.
Where I live we don't have to deal with this:laws here are equal to every one.But that is in Holland:where the use of soft drugs is even allowed. And more like that.
I hope for all of you a national bill will get passed once.So you get the same rights as every one else.
And about the ones that are rude:try to get some education, and stop pretending to be so "nice",if it suits you.Ignorant morons.no more no less.
Glad that I live in a civilized country.
Hope you can say the same one fine day.
Greetings:Rob.xxx

No, my friend, love is not love and there are rules to it. I don't know what your race is, but let's suppose you're a white man. Let's also suppose that you're a very successful white man living in the suburbs who has a wife with children that he loves very much. And let's again suppose your daughter fell in love with a gangsta from "the hood" with an extensive criminal record, the same type of person you've been guarding your daughter against and warning her about since she was a young girl. Now, is love still love? The point i'm trying to make is that although we use the word "love," some types love really are unhealthy. Many in the black community will say of you, "he claims to be unprejudiced but look what happens when his daughter falls in love with a man of the opposite race. You could very well be unprejudiced, but you know what's good and healthy for your own daughter, right? And you know that a relationship with that black man from the hood is not only unhealthy but dangerous as well. Would you then dismiss it as, "love is love"?

Also, whether we choose to acknowledge it or not, we as adults are role models for all children. With the gay society being out and in public so much these days, you can't deny that it has some impact on our youth. Call me and others like me ignorant if you will, but I don't need society telling my children opposite of what i'm trying to teach them. And gay marriage goes against everything that I would teach my children. It seems that we are only concerned in what goes on in our own little worlds and not the society as a whole.

I agree. If people mind there own they wouldn't care. I say the same thing to my mom all the time, and she agrees. I go"why you so worried' it's not you". I believe god sees' your heart. And your not christian enough to believe that than that's you. My moms bible study group has this issue, they start talking about gays and I defend them. It's not for you to choose who you love, love chooses you. I find it unfair and rude. Be who you are, don't make any excuses about it!

You say that love is love, but there are rules. One of the rules of marriage is that God decreed that it be between a man and a woman. There are studies that have been done showing that children in same sex homes have higher levels of stress than other children. Same sex couples can never provide either maculine or feminine love (depending on the couple) and care that children need to have a healthy development.

Yes God loves everyone, but He hates sin. So, in our love of homosexuals, we should discourage them from participating in sin, and God clearly stated homosexual behavior is against His design for sex and marriage and is sinful.
