Is America a pushy nation?

I don't believe that the American people are pushy, in general, but it does seem like our government is.

Some may call it "leadership" while others call it an "infringement upon - live and let live -".

Do you believe that America is a pushy nation?

The most selfish and demanding. Americans have no sense of community anymore.

Our gov't is. Our people are showing record dissaproval of our govt and administration. Some polls show as much as 67-70% dissaproval. If this is the case, the real question becomes, how can this be a democracy when THE PEOPLE are being ignored?
We have become an empire, slave to the military industrial complex, big business/corporations and shady backroom deals.
But the american people, like people anywhere, are honest, hard working, god fearing people. Unfortunaltely our govt's actions of the last few years have left much of the world disliking us more than ever before. So, long story short, the people are not pushy, but our Govt is more pushy than any time in history.(i.e.Preemptive warfare,wars on ideology etc.)

Yes in many ways, but sometimes it's necessary. If your pushed, then you are going to push back. But sometimes it's better to yield and let your opponent loss their strength. But we must preserve our rights that we have fought for over the years. Remember we are a nation made up of many different cultures and races and we do not want to lose our rights and freedom etc.
I don't want to get into the Bush thing,but there is no doubt that he is "pushy" to the extreme.
