If reverse is true, how or why is it?

Think about what is harder to do. Revenge is human inclination. Forgiveness has to be learned. Have you ever tried to teach a child to forgive someone? It's not easy to do at first. Teach them how to get revenge, and you will get immediate results! Getting revenge is for the weak-minded who feel truly threatened by someone else's talents. Those people have no self-esteem and try to make themselves feel better by one-upping the other guy.

Not necessarily. The weak people talk revenge to make themselves seem strong.
Strong people can forgive and walk away. It Takes a real person with strength to let someone offend him/her and let it go.

No I think more that *clever" people forgive others, and weak people get revenge.

Because the weak people need to prove they are strong by getting revenge.

On the other hand to get back to your question:
I think in a certain context your saying is correct, because if something happens to you, something unacceptable, and you did not want the responsible persons get away with it then you would have to be strong to go through with it! The weak person on the other hand, just (for)gives up!

I would say the reverse is true. The greater beneficiary of forgiveness is the one who does the forgiving. People who forgive realize this.

I don't know about that. All I know is that I don't forgive and I don't bother with revenge either. If someone betrays me then I kick them out of my life. End of story. I don't need revenge. I just move on.

Weak peole need revenge, and strong people find the healing, compassion for self and others, and better things to do.

I don't think so. I believe it takes the stronger person to forgive and forget. The one who gets revenge is the weaker person because they can't let things go. That's more strenuous on a person than letting bygones be bygones.

That's so backwards. It takes alot of strength sometimes to forgive, and to take revenge displays an attitude you find in little kids that haven't been taught properly. To not forgive, aren't we then trapping ourselves in pettiness?

Actually, it is the opposite. The strong forgive, the weak fight back.

vengeance is not ours --- i don't consider revengeful people as strong because they bear grudges.. forgiving is one of the most important things that people should consider because forgiveness heals the wounds that might have hurt us.
those people who had forgave are strong because they are able to face one of life's greatest challenge --- to forgive.
