Hiccups don't have each thing to do with the lungs. Hiccups in the womb are led to even as the fetus beverages amniotic fluid and practices respiration. This bypass causes the diaphragm to settlement which finally ends up in hiccups. As for the toddler being a noisy toddler because of this it truly is not any longer genuine. I felt my toddler hiccup alot in the womb earlier I had him for for a lengthy time period. I gave delivery to him 5 days in the past and he's not a yeller in any respect. do not problem. only sense free your having a healthful toddler

Its ok, the baby hiccupping means that she is healthy and growing, she is active which is also good. Hiccupps are nothing more then the baby breathing and swallowing the amniotic fluid and there lungs are just contracting to this. This is a good sign to show that your baby is maturing and that all is well. Unless your doctor tells u something different disregard your mother in laws words. Both of my pregnancies my children hiccupped almost constantly..Good Luck!

My son is 5 weeks old.. and from the time I was 7 months pregnant I felt him hiccup EVERYDAY. I was incredibly nervous about it... but my doctor insured me he was fine. And now that he is here, he still has the hiccups almost everyday. His doctor tells me he is fine and perfectly healthy.
Don't stress about it. Mother In Laws have a way of trying to make new moms nervous.
Congrats to you!!!!!!!

my baby usued to hickup all the time in my belly you could actualy see my tummy move in rythem. My Dr said it is very normal and nothing at all to worry about. Now my baby is two weeks old and still hickups at least once a day. Again Dr says everything is just fine. If you think about it his little digestive tract is not yet fully developed. I also had someone tell me it means they are growing proboly a old wives tell but sounds good nonetheless. I wouldn't worry to much on this my baby is a content happy baby he just gets the hickups every now and then.

Tell your mother in law that everything's fine and avoid telling her about things too much. When you feel a hiccup, say it's a kick- or whatever, because she's just fear mongering. Have a great birthing!!!
