The new Minimum wage bill excluded Starkist Tuna that just happens to be based in Botox Pelosi's hometown of San Fran. The CEO of Del Monte that owns Starkist Tuna makes 65 million a year. The libs pathetic excuses in this forum so far:
1. It has always been that way.
2. That US territory is thousands of miles away (stupid response since the US territory Northern Mariana Islands is right next door to American Somoa.
3. Republicans never gave them a increase (what a pathetic excuse for a party that ran on change)
4. Botox Pelosi did not write the bill. No she did not however her lib California counterpart did! I am sure they have no relationship. nor does Starkist who was a major campaign contributer to Botox Pelosi and Rep. George Miller, California Democrat and author of the bill.

"It's ironic to me that one of the first bills they bring up that promises across-the-board fairness for all has an exception," said Steve Forde, Republican spokesman for the House Education a

You can continue to perpetuate ignorance, and I will continue to dispense with the truth.

American Samoa has not been subject to the Federal Minimum wage since 1956. The reason for this is because 80% of the economy is based on one thing: canning tuna. With a lack of diversity in the economic sector, raising the minimum wage in the canneries, would make the entire territory a welfare state. Other Congresses have realized this and that is why a special committee is in place that deals with the Samoan wage every 2 years. This is NOT a new development.

Typical to put a half truth as a basis to imply corruption when if the whole truth was told, it would eliminate any semblance of foul play.
