Ronaldinho would not play MLS even if you put all the wealth of america together as the tranfer fee. Because Ronaldinho concentrates on football and not on hollywood. He is a brazilian blood, born to be a footballer and never to be an model.

He will only play in MLS if they pay him more than what he earns at Barcelona. Then, because he's a showboat, he will attract fans. BUT THAT IS FUTILE. Ronaldinho would only go to the USA to see his basketball idol, Kobe. Nothing else. Asking price? How about asking the US people to appreciate something human..football...not something that's too saturated with entertainment and timeouts.

I think they didn't based the price on performance (since Beckham is not longer the good player he used to be !) they paid that astronomical price just for marketing reasons, Beckham is more easy to sell that the Best Ever, Good Player Ronaldinho which he would really be worth to pay that amount of money! But here in the US, Beckham is more well known and people will die just to see him (including me and my kids, who are not the biggest fan of the guy, but ..hey it's Beckham!)

I think it will depend on his ability to adapt to the style of play in the MLS...if he is not injured or off form or something like that, then i believe that the asking price should be around 35-50 million pounds.

40 million for a 5 yrs contract + lots and lots of endorsements! just like beckham. THE BIG MONEY IF FROM ENDORSEMENTS, CAN'T PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT!!! oh and ronaldinho would sell too!
