Who would do that?- He CAN play, he need a better offensive coordinator and head coach. Next year he will have NO running game- but Burress and shockey and a HEALTHY Amani Toomer would help him out greatlt-
the Giants are 2 players and a coach away from the super bowl. A good established(not aging) RB who can reciever from the slot or the backfield and a Spirited middle line backer are all that they need at this point

Eli Manning is not turning out to be as good as the Giants hoped he would be. You're right, nevertheless, he gets compared way too much to his brother Peyton. Yet that was one of the main reasons the Giants made the trade with the SD Chargers was to get Manning because the Giants thought he could be as good or better than his brother. All the Giants could hope for is that Eli improves next season. Right now, he's a so-so to good quarterback. Good enough to play in the NFL, but not spectacular or flashy. The Giant's record this season 8-8 seems to reflect Manning's ability. Will they trade him? He still has one more season to prove he is a high quality quarterback. If he doesn't do it next year the Giants most likely will be looking elsewhere for a QB. Next year is going to be really tough on Eli too considering Tiki Barber is retiring and the Giants will have no ground game unless they get lucky in the draft.

With Coughling coming back for another year (perhaps - even with the contract extension, you can never tell these days), Eli will be given the reigns once again with an inconsistent offense. If Eli wants to becmoe one of the elite, he needs to make sure that Plaxico and Jeremy step their game up as well. The running game will take a hit with Tiki Barber retiring, so there will be even more pressure on Manning to perform.
Eli will not get traded at this juncture. However, the team will look around for a veteran QB available in free agency to come in and help Eli out. If Manning does not pan out in another season or two, look for him to become trade bait for another team with QB issues as well.
As for comparisons, Peyton had a worse starting year than Eli (3739 yards and 26 TDs/28 INTs for Peyton to 3762 yards and 26 TDs/17 INTs), but drastically improved in his second year (4135 yards and 26 TDs/15 INTs for Peyton to 3244 yards and 24 TDs/18 INTs for Eli). The statistical comparison will always be there, so you will have to get over it. If you look at the totals for their first three years, people would expect Peyton numbers from Eli due to their Manning heritage (but perhaps their is more Archie in Eli than in Peyton). Peyton has 12,287 yards, 85 TDs, and 58 INTs while Eli has 8049 yards, 54 TDs, and 44 INTs. While Eli has passed for fewer INTs and played fewer games in his rookie season, Peyton has the more powerful arm and the fearlessness to put it in the air ... and 14 more INTs isn't that much at this point for comparisons.
Still, Eli has another shot to step out of the shadow of big brother and become his own entity. The Giants should look at drafting another WR this season or pick up another solid WR in free agency as well. Also, work on the offensive line there ... that would give Eli a better chance to lead the team to more victories and not have the october crash ... that usually happens under Tom Coughlin.
Eli won't be traded this season.

I have always been a fan of Archie Manning and his son Peyton. However, I'm not a fan of Eli. When San Diego drafted him, he pitched a little fit and said he wanted to play for a winning team. Who's laughing now, Eli? I really do wish the Giants and Chargers could have met in the Super Bowl, with Chargers winning.

No, he won't. The NFL would surely hate to see him throw another pout-fest like he did when the Chargers drafted him. The Giants don't want him blubbering all over the place.
Look how much he pouts when the Giants are losing.
And, look where the Chargers are now. Igor Olshansky got drafted by the Chargers, and was proud to be there.
Eli is an elitist, whimpering, spoiled brat.

NO way to trade him with his salary. Other teams would not be able to get under the salary cap with his salary without moving alot of other players. Besides, the Giants know they have a future pro bowler.

NO. He makes to many much money to be traded, so no one would want him and plus theres no other quarterbacks out there for the Giants to sign.

I do not see him getting traded - he should be a solid quarterback; some of the players around him had off years this season, so he should be able to rebound over the course of the rest of his career.
