If we can put the mirror under the word (can we?) then DIOXIDE will look the same in the mirror.

Those palindromes given would read the same backwards as forwards, but when seen in a mirror they would not look the same. You're looking for a word such as "bollod" which although does not actually exist, it would read the same in a mirror. As for actual words that would appear the same, I don't know of any.

Looking at capital letters as printed, the letters would have to be A, I, O, Y, M, H, T, U, V, W, X b and d in lower case match each other, but lower case takes out a, m, u
Sorry but severe shortage of 5 letter words in following the link below next. Other sites I found require exact letters in word to unscramble. Search for 'word builder' and 'make words from letters'
