You can be dialated at 4 or 5 for a week or two. Sounds to me like you're right on target with your due date.

Yes it can still come on the 29th!
I was dialate to 2 and then the next week 3 and then the next week 5! The dr told me that I was just getting ready...I had to be induced though because she was afraid that being at five I might just go real fast and not make it to the hospital. But still I was dialated for at least three weeks and nothing...this was like a few weeks before my due date too!

It might! Like the others said, you can be dilated for a long time before delivering. However, even if it comes early, there's nothing to worry about. At this point, the baby would still be considered full-term (after 36 weeks). Most women deliver within 2 weeks of their due date.

I was 3 centimeters for 2 weeks before I had a scheduled delivery. I didnt even go into labor alone..I had to get something placed around my cervix to help it thin out, then my labor sped through and I had the baby 2 hours later. U could be dialated for weeks before going into labor.U will probably give birth on time or maybe even later. I doubt labor will happen early. Good Luck!

when i was 30 weeks pregnant I dialated to 3 cm and then a little over 3 weeks later i went to 5 cm and I walked around like that for a week before they induced me and let me have my son. So i guess it just depends on your body and how long the drs will make u wait. Good luck

You can have the baby any time now. The baby could come tomorrow and he or she would be fine. The due date is just an estimate. It is just a waiting game now. I was diated 3 weeks ahead of my due date and had the baby 1 week before my due date. Every body is different.

Yes, it can still come on that date. A little dialation is normal before delivery. However, if you feel any contractions that start to come 3-5 minutes apart, get to the hospital asap.

Being dilated a bit allready is not unusual, and may or may not effect your baby coming sooner. Due dates are just an estimate, and baby will come when baby is ready. Aim for the 26th...thats my birthday!!! LOL

Best of luck to you! Have a safe delivery and a happy, healthy baby! :)

With my first pregnancy I dilated to 3 about 3 weeks before my son was born. The doctor said everything was normal and fine. Everyone is different however, maybe contacting your doctor will help alleviate any nervousness.
Good luck and enjoy your newborn!!!
