As is always the case the people that are jailed are being made an example of. There is an upsurge of pensioners who are prepared to challenge this administration on the unfairness of this enforced tax. We have learned the difference between moaning and complaining. Now that there is a challenge to government, they can't allow it to gain too much momentum. This time they are definitely getting it wrong. Just wait and see. Remember the general election isn't really all that far away.

Because, hardened criminals are not owing money. These poor pensioners are holding out on council tax, which is preventing the councillors and MP's from being paid incredibly large sums of money for doing F*** all. They can't be seen as weak or else no one would pay and the likes of Blair couldn't have £60,000 holidays at our expense.
Personally, I think we should all hold out on our council tax. They'd send us all to prison and we'd be safe from the criminals (seeing as they are never imprisoned). We'd also get 3 square meals a day and a roof over our heads, and we'd never need to worry about not affording any of this which a lot of us currently do.

There should always be room in jail for these rebels.
How dare they think that just cos they spent a life time working and paying taxes that they can just not bother to pay the rip off council tax that is used to pay the tax of those poor beggars too idle to work at all.
Who cares that their pensions have gone up by 85 pence a week and their tax has risen by £5 a week.
They should have put more away for this eventuality.
..AND I bet most of them voted labour anyway..hahahaha

I think the county councils are run by unconsidered uncaring selfish immoral morons ,bunch of Nazis who has no time for the likes of people who is having hard times
financially ,who is struggling to make ends meet..let alone have finances to pay for unfair system of council tax bills,
These morons spend our taxes on unnecessary unwanted time waisting money waisting.projects ,that
you just want to spit in their faces ,,
And as for putting pensioners in prison for none payment of council tax is appalling, and inhuman, but they make sure there is a cell for every one who can't pay their c/tax
this is done on purpose so they don't lose money,
they pushed it throu courts to make it criminal offence
for none payers,

Don`t ask me obviously i`m too stupid to understand
Pensioners go to jail because they insist on buying them self food instead of paying their council tax
Old ladies get ASBO`s for feeding the birds
Two old men have had a £1,000 fine in a court case for cruelty to their dog .the case cost £20 ,000 + a £3,000 vets bill
The dog was too fat because of a medical problem(it`s now been returned to them)
The government is determined to protect us from these dangerous elements in our society
even if it means restricting our freedoms by letting a few murderers and paedophiles on the street
but like i said ,too stupid to understand that its for our own good

of path they are able to, by way of fact it is all approximately funds. Had he bodily attacked somebody he might get a slap on the wrist. i think of it is disgusting that pensioners are envisioned to pay council tax. people on earnings help do not could, so why could those living on state pension? it is not as though they have not already contributed adequate to society.
