Your nephew Edd ripped you off big time. Forget the Windows and the license number issue. What else did you have on the computer that he could have stolen? If you had Word or Excel files with credit card numbers, banking information, or any other valuable data, take steps NOW to address that. Credit cards should be cancelled and reissued with new account numbers, banks should be called for advice. It's unlikely Edd went into your computer just to steal your Windows, he probably was looking for more valuable information. Act now to prevent identity loss and financial disaster!

Get a new tech, he's blowing smoke up your @ss.
True, someone may have used your license, but that would not stop you machine from working, it only would have stopped it from updating its software at MS site.
And no, using a license on numerous machines does not cause hard drives to blow up.
The Computer "froze up" may have been from the hard drive dying, or a downloaded virus. We tend to see things as this happened and just prior to it someone was here, the two events are not always linked. But, the problem that your tech described "don't exist".

Since your problems occurred after your nephews worked on or accessed your computer, they must be responsible for your trouble and problems.
You need to contact microsoft about the software. As for your nephews, you need to talk to them and try to get them to undo the damage or you will need to file criminal charges against them and prosecute.

You're nephew edd's the best guy i've heard of! wow, can't think of pulling off something like that....
congratulate him on my part lol.
sorry that was stupid. well, edd probably stole your windows info (like serial no., profile database, etc.) and what made your hard drive erase itself was edd's hackeristic potential! THAT (probably, 90% sure) edd pulled off on purpose.
thank u edd! you make me proud! (sorry)
