Absolutley its rediculous to think we should turn a blind eye to those in need everyones needed help sometime . we figure its best not to get involved even if could cost someone there life people as a whole are to cowardly and to cought up in there own devices to even remember decincy it seems the more we get quote connected, the further we grow away from humanity, core values, a firm handshake a warm smile or just helping your neighbor

i wouldn't call it a duty it's more of an ethical and moral choice if u choose to help someone by calling the police or going over there it is something u must deal with the consequences of.. i live in an apartment and my neighbors upstairs fight all the time with screaming and yelling i have called the police one time when the female in the household was screaming for help.. i figured if the fight gets beyond the yelling stage and things are getting broken and there is definately a fight going on i'm gonna call the police to solve the situation not only for my protection but for my neighbors protection and police seem better able to solve a situation like this

In a word "NO" on the other hand, the golden rule applies.. If it was you being attacked you would feel like it might be nice for someone to help you.

Depends on the situation.. I would call 911 right away.. I've known of several cases here in Ca. were someone intervened and they were killed by the assiliant.

Yes, I would help my neighbor in need, even though I don't care for them. Its the only neighborly thing to do.
