What is so special about Frank Zappa rthat some people like him a lot and somepeople just hate him?
Somw people are just fans, soem people don't understand anything about Zappa?
What's the story?

Yes I do. It's just weird, trippy music that's just fun to listen to sometimes. It's definitely not for everyone though!

The first time I listened to Freak Out ! by The Mothers of Invention I was hooked for life.
Aside from being one of the great iconoclastic individuals of the Twentieth Century , Frank Zappa was a great composer and the single most under-rated and under- appreciated guitarist of the rock era.
In an age of look alike and sound alike really boring and truly uninspired formulaic music, you would be doing your ears a great service if you put on say We're Only In For the Money or Live at The Roxy and Elsewhere .

I agree with the other posts.. Frank hired some great players for his projects. George Duke was one, Ian Underwood was another.. Great compositions.. and funny guy too!

He's a great composer. I like his tune about not wanting to get drafted.
