Don't worry. Children aren't interested in those kinds of Sci Fi books. The ridiculously-strong, double D-breasted, barely-clad women with dragons generally tells them to look away.

Science Fiction books generally work alot like romance novels, I think. Most kids would rather read Harry Potter or Tamora Pierce's novels.

I don't know why? Most kids today know more about sex than I do. However, the only authors' that I know about that have any sex descriptions in their novels are either John Ringo or Holly Lisle in her earlier works. Some authors may suggest sex, but not give descriptions, will that be okay?

Robert Heinlein is pretty liberal with his sex. It isn't graphic by any means, but there is a lot and it is not traditional. He definitely pushes the envelope with group sex and swinging. There is no taboo against same sex relationships.
