Make yourself available. Frequent plays, art galleries, hey.. even the golf course(learn to play). Be yourself, be neat make intelligent conversation and listen.. You can find men everywhere..but do it at a place that would be comfortable for you.. Try a gym too.

Don't have sex before you're married. You'll then weed out the vast majority and the decent ones will remain.
This is really only a second best solution, however, because it really should be the man who sets that standard. So ultimately look for one who has it, but that of course would have about the same odds as winning a lottery.

I think that the best thing you can do is be the type of person that you want your husband to be. So if you want someone considerate, be considerate, and if you want someone that isnt selfish, work on not being selfish. Once you do that, you will recognize when someone doenst have your same qualities and you will get rid of them a little faster and you will also recognize when someone does have those qualities.

Get out there and do things so that you have a chance to meet someone. Find singles groups that do things that you like--sailing, art, museums, etc. There are group for everything. Don't stay home and hope to meet someone.

Make yourself a good potential wife and hope that the right guy notices you. Treat him with respect and be honest at all times and maybe you guys will get married.

NEVER settle! Just know what you want in a person and don't settle for less. I'm not saying to wait for a saint, but don't settle for someone just because they are available and you are tired of waiting.
