Right now, there is no other way to extend your account. When you buy & register your first pet, you get 12 months of access to the site. Each time you buy a new pet, you get 12 more months of access, from the date you register *that* pet. The 12 months for the next pet doesn't get added to the first 12 months. In other words, if you register a 2nd pet on your account 2 months after the first, you get 14 months total (not 24). They do give you a grace period if your account lapses during which time you can renew your account by registering a new pet--I think it's 30 days. If you add a new pet to your account during that time, you won't lose anything you've done on your account.

They don't have any way for members to extend their accounts by renewing online, so the only way to keep it from expiring is to buy a new Webkinz. Just don't buy/register it until your first account is about to expire. That way you can get the full 12 months from each pet--and add the new pet to your current account. Otherwise you start from scratch w/only one room & no objects.
