I watched this last night, and first of all i do think daniel craig suited the role perfect and certainly looks like he could be a great bond. My favourite though is still brosnan.
I did not like the whole plot to be honest, and most of the storyline was very hard to understand. If your planning on watching it do not blink and certainly do not go the toilet otherwise your fucked basically. I did not get the very end bit where he shot that dude and said the names bond james bond? Also did not get the bit about vesper at all; was she in love with bond or some algerian dude? Also when bond first played at the casino with le chiffre, did le chiffe no who bond was?? Did he no he was a mi6 agent?
The film did not feel like a james bond film to me. It just seem to go from one country to the next, yet it didn't go to the Uk once (or did i miss that scene). I just didn't get that feel of britain...
I think on the next bond they should bring back the gadgets, and Q.

My mate, who is 52, saw it and he said, when he came out of the cinema, he felt so pumped up, he felt he could take on the whole world. Sad I know but there you go. Looking forward to seeing myself. I've been told it's the best one yet. We'll see.

You need to see the film a few times to follow the rapid plot.
It's the first Bond film to stick close an Ian Fleming story.
Generations have been brought up on 'Pretty boy' actors in gadget laden movies with women draped around the sets (nothing wrong with that of course) as mere window dressing in limited easy to follow drawing by the numbers plots.
If you read the books you'll see a better James Bond.
As I say if you watch the movie again you'll find it all falls into place like a jigsaw.
I found it tough going myself, and I was brought up on Sean Connery as Bond in the 60's.
It's good that they've got away from the comic strip/ computer type game, the movies became.
James Bond movies should have been left in the 1960's.
Casino Royale 2006.
Bond was in the UK (interior shot), when he broke into M's apartment to hack her computer to get the access code to the MI6 files. A place he knew he could successfully obtain it.

I watched it last night as well. And although I thought Daniel Craig CANNOT be Bond, he seemed to do fine. But Like you I think Brosnan is Bond. I agree about the plot...I dont know who stole money from who. The asthmatic guy was lousy at using his inhaler. The women were hot and Daniel Looked superb in the suit. But the torture scene was, I thought, not 'appropriate' for the character. Degrading I thought, just doesnt suit the mightiness of the James Bond personna.
But not a bad night out, was better than I thought.

Although Craig was and hopefully will continue to be a brilliant Bond; I found that the movie lacked a certain sense of continuity. Like you said, it was jumping around from country to country and we (the audience) seem to be some what left in the dark.
The acting, in my opinion was fantastic.
Yeah, it did seem to lack the Great Britain feeling didn't it? Although perhaps they were going for the 'he's such a pro he doesn't need to rely on his gadgets kind of a feeling' it would have been nice to have seen a few more!

It's brilliant. And Daniel Craig is perfect as Bond.
$500million (and the most successful Bond movie to date) at the box office suggests many other people feel the same way.

Not very good. I think the films should've stopped before Pierce Brosnans attempt. Just doesn't seem to work being more modern!
