Don't get too drunk or high, it will ruin the show. Sure it's fun, but keep it real. There's nothing worse than spending all that money on a great show and then being too blitzed to recall it later.
Bring extra money for a concert shirt or other memento. They're expensive but you'll want one ever so bad!
Bring some good quality earplugs that dampen sound without distorting it. Concert sound levels tend to be over the top, and have certainly taken their toll on ears like mine. Even a bit of cotton stuffed into your ears is better than nothing - and certainly better than deafness.
Watch for pickpockets, they swarm at just about every concert. Keep your money, cell phone, etc., in a front pocket so it's harder for thieves to grab.
Wear comfortable shoes & clothing. If you get in the mood to dance you don't want to be bound up by too-tight jeans, and you may end up standing for several hours.
If you go with friends, stay with them. A group, even a couple, offers protection from pickpockets, gropers, and obnoxious drunks.
Avoid face make-up or keep it light. Concerts usually make you sweat, which can ruin a perfectly applied facefull of Revlon's finest.
Have fun!

Don't take any drugs or anything to drink from a stranger. A lot of time kids will have drugs laced with something dangerous and the same goes for drinks. You don't know what it really is so better be safe than sorry.
Carry something with you to drink like bottled water. You will need it. You will have fun.

Dress for comfort--not necessarily for style--mainly I mean no heels. And like the one guy, don't wear a RHCP T-Shirt or you will look like a newbie.
Otherwise, dance and sing you butt off and have a great time! Oh--I'm so excited for you--I have never seen the RHCP live, but wish I could!
