no there isno easy way.

contrary to what CSI makes you believe, the only thing you can trace back an email to is the senders internet service provider. the ISP can in turn check their logfiles to find out with whose account the mail was sent, but if that account is not personified, like a public access point or wireless hotspot, the trail ends there, unless the sender uses a registered eMail account instead of an anonymous one, in which case the eMail provider has a record of the senders personal data.

plus it takes a warrant to do so. so no... no easy way.

Well IP (Internet Protocol) addresses are assigned to a computer upon connection to the internet, the ISP (Internet Service Provider) keeps them stored in a safe place in case the person is commiting illigeal crimes on the internet so that they have a full record on the persons internet wherabouts, this information is not released to the general public, and is aquired only by the authorities, and few hackers with the technology to gain it. Hope this helps, Brodster
