They won't be working for "we the people" much longer - there is House Bill #1, Section 220 which is back by both Reps. & Dems. that would severly curtail the information the public will have access too. This is because congress says our call, emails, etc are limiting their "power" --- power is my word not theirs...can't remember theirs but you can be sure this does not bode well for middle-class Americans. If this bill passes it will not curtail the activities of the high-priced lobbyist just normal everyday citizens & the "mom & pop" grassroots efforts of some to get people to let congress know our wishes....us peons could be fined by congress up to $100,000 if we have the audacity to "bother them" in all their graff & glory! Understand Reid, Pelosi, Cornyn, Levin & Lieberman are pushing this hard.... Called Hutchinson (R-TX) her office had "no comment" ....... Write & Call while we still can....

Yes ,but they have loopholes where they don't pay their fair share.
They say the rich don't pay their fair share and Republicans are for big business. Both parties look out for themselves and know how to keep from paying to much in taxes. They are raising the minimum wage for all the US and it's island's except for the Samoan island. They say this island can't afford it but seventy five percent of the work force work for starkist tuna which is headquartered in Nancy Pelosi's district.

They do pay the same tax rate as everyone else in their tax bracket. They can vote themselves a pay raise Which they do almost every session.I should also point out that Congressional "perks" like paid staff, free health care, etc are off the chart.
