They tried, oh how they tried. I was creative and determined and threw off all the chains that were placed on me. And I made lots of really bad choices that have effected me the rest of my life, but I've done all the things I wanted to try. I don't regret them.

Yes, and it probably kept me out of a lot of trouble.
Do you really want a lecture on this, or can you just look at history and decide. When parents began "giving freedom" to thier children (on the advice of Dr. Spock and others), they began to run wild and look at socity now. Of course, this is simplified, but check the crime rate of now as oppose to 30 years ago before we allowed our children to do as they please.

No,my mom kicked me out when I was 14.But before she did she was not strict,she just yelled alot.

Yes, and I had a kid the year I was allowed out. Kept me safely back at home, of course. :)
