It was already stated by Cowher ( and of course) I cannot find my source again) that he will not coach in the AFC since the chances of him playing against the Steelers are more probable than if he were to coach the NFC. I think that Browns believe he would come there but I really think that the only reason the Giants gave Coughlina 1-yr. extension is that they know that Cowher, as well as other coaches, will be readily available after the 2007 season. If it's for the money, I say he goes to Washington because you know Snyder will not hold back as far as money goes so that could be a fit but then again, if distance from NC and family was a factor, he wouldn't go to Washington. I couldn't see Cowher being 'under the thumb' of Jerry Jones either.

I don't think he'll be on the golf course in September of 2008; January, 2008 he'll probably be in T.V. studio doing the whole guest analyst thing during next season's playoffs but when the 2008 season starts he will be coaching.

In descending order I would say:

NY Giants;
Some university;
Dallas or
Washington.

Assuming Bill's projection of descent continues at the current rate as it has since winning the superbowl, he will be living in a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere in South Central Mexico and selling jumping beans and chicklets for a living

New York Giants. I say Coughlin will be fired after this year and they will look to trade ELI this year for a draft pick.
