am i or are these people just trying to make me happy?

It doesn't matter what other people think. It matters what YOU THINK.
That in itself will build self esteem and confidence, and there is NOTHING more attractive or beautiful than a person that has a strong personal image and confidence.

Well you probably are. I mean some people, like your friends, might have said that you were pretty just to please you. But if other people are saying it aswell, that's surely a good sign.
And besides, nobody can be ugly. Say for example if you had a abnormally long neck. Some might consider you weird, but in Africa and other such places you would be considered beautiful. I'm not saying you have a long neck, just saying different cultures have different concepts of beauty.

Well if lots of other people say you are pretty then maybe you are!! i doubt they saying it just to make you happy! But it doesn't matter what others think - you have to be satisfied with your own looks!! Because for all the people that find you attractive there are also going to be people you do not find you attractive because we all ahve different tastes in attractiveness. Unless you can find it in yourself to be satisfied with how you look then it doesn't really matter what others think!!

Well i know what you mean. The only people that say i'm pretty is my family and some boys at school. But the girls at my school seem to say i'm a geek so i don't know.
As long as you have'nt got a big nose, lots of spots, pointy chin, scruffy hair, black teeth, scabs all over your face that means you are ok don't worry

No matter what people tell you. You will only be as pretty as you feel. Feel good about yourself. A majority of people will tell you what they think you want to hear. I went through that in school. I finally said to myself, I don't care what people think. Only your true friends will stick by you no matter what.

i shouldn't matter what they say or think. if you love yourself from the inside, your outer beauty doesn't frankly matter. you should be thankful that people would even take the time to say that to you. i bet you are really beautiful and people know that you need to hear it every once in awhile.

If you think you are pretty you are. It doesnt matter what anybody else thinks. Yes it is nice when people say you are pretty but...if they were lying you don't want to get upset.
