A ray from your foot, after reflection at the bottom of the mirror is reflected and reaches your eye.

The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

A ray from your eye is incident normally on the mirror.

A ray from the head is reflected (almost normally).

If we draw a figure, with simple geometry we can see that the height of the mirror must be half of your height.

If the mirror is hanging vertically and is flat it makes no difference how far away you are. It needs to be half your height, and hung such that the top edge is at a level half way between your eyes and the top of your head. The bottom edge should then be at a level half way between your eyes and the floor (bottom of your feet).

I suppose you can have a hand held mirror if you stand far enough away.........but then again, it depends on how tall or how wide you are.

this depends
1)how big you are and 2) how far away you are. if you really wanna see yourself then a vertical one is best. who wants to see all of them anyways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends how tall you are, where you are stood in relation to it, whether it is curved, and whether it isn't dark or not.
