Honestly, I think we all need to hope the plan works. If it doesn't ... well I wouldn't like to imagine if it doesn't.

No, Bush has 2 years left and it will take that much time to finish the Baghdad Surge tactic and decide if its unsuccessful. It will be up to President Clinton and Nancy Pelosi and that guy in the Senate to decide what to do with the Iraq Tar Baby, and even THAT may take awhile.

No.The war on Terror will not end until Muslim radicals give up or to weak to strike us again. Giving up in Iraq is not an option. We stood by and let the radicals have free rein in the ninety's.They bombed the USS Cole ,embassy's and the trade center. What about Black Hawk Down we ran and they looked at us as paper tigers. It's time to stop running and do something.Run again and they will regroup and be back. We can fight them over there or over here. They don't care whether your Liberal or Conservative.

I think that if they do not see progress within the first few months, they may consider backing out, and letting the civil war happen. We will see.
As much as I hate and disagree with the war, the government has morally obligated us to it, and the Iraq government wants us there. Until they are asked to leave and all hope is gone, we will be in Iraq.

You cant just stop the war. Thats not logical. You cant just pull out all of our troops and be done with it. We started it and we need to finish it. I dont agree with the war, but I dont agree with just stopping it either. A draft and a real surge of troops would be a good start. Not this stupid 20,000 more, ten times that would be nice.

Nope, they will just come up with another reason to stay.
Here is my thoughts on the whole thing...the Republicans not only realize the US is losing in Iraq, they also know that they will lose the Presidency in 2008. It will then be the Democrats' problem to get out of Iraq. They do not want the responsibility for the messs they creaed...they want to leave it to the next president..just more stalling tactics, etc, etc.

Doubt it.. They would most likely go back to the drawing board and try a differant plan. Eventually they will just have to hand over power and get the F out, but not yet..

No. Bush will pass it on to the next president and he or she will take the heat for Bush's blunder. He'll strut off into the sunset with his smirk.
