Yes Limewire is legal, it becomes illegal when you download copyrighted material. And I love the people who have commented about how the artists are losing money, boo hoo and bullshit, Metallica isn't going broke and neither are Jay Z etc who are downloaded like crazy. And I'm sure that you frigging hypocrites don't own any music that you downloaded from Napster 6 years ago. Just a PSA but if you only download and don't share your music the chances are getting busted are slim to none, it's kind of lame to do that but you won't get caught.

There is a lot of controversy about this but really it is "legal" But you take the risk on downloading from the site. A lot of the songs have viruses in them and get on your computer when you download. I say just pay the 99 cents from itunes or rhapsody. Or better yet go to your library and check out the cd you want and copy it that way.

First of All...LIMEWIRE is hard spyware...it will demolish your computer system. My humble request NOT TO USE THIS SOFTWARE AT ALL.....
Better to use Bittorrent software or more beter buy a affordable CD/DVD.

yes it is legal because there is a disclaimer in the end user agreement that you have to accept before u can install it on your computer. the disclaimer makes it clear that it is the users, responsibility to ensure that what they are downloading and uploading is legal.
