Okay, so your worried that something is going to happen to your family? It's odd, I went through a similiar phase once when I was a kid. I was terrified of the thought of my family members dying. I couldn't sleep at night because I was too worried and I would be frantic if someone was late coming home. If you get worried like this, try resolving to be very nice to your family. As for controlling your daydreams, pray or recite an inspiring quote. You might want a book on the power of positive thinking. You could even try self hypnosis, which does actually work -- to some degree. I'm not exactly recommending all that "unleash the powers of your subconcious mind" stuff, but hey, it's worth a try.

It sounds to me as though you may have some type of anxiety disorder, which can be treated very successfully. My suggestion is to be evaluated by a psychiatrist (not because of you, but because psychiatrists are the professionals best trained to make a really good evaluation). There are also national organizations to provide resources and information. You can also find good books about anxiety disorders in bookstores (usually in the psychology section). Anxiety disorders are not a character flaw; they almost always have a biological basis, and can be effectively treated.

Can you play some happy music until that is all that is playing in your head? Thoughts can be like prayers....
