how do i chop the roof on a 1884 chevy k2500 cab, where do i cut it to start

eldoradod is right you really need to talk to some people that have done this sort of thing. when you chop a top if you notice the wind shield and other glass gets smaller at the top and when you cut ever how many inchs out of the cab post it wont even come close to matching up thus the top will have to be cut into 4 pieces and streched out so to speek and then put back together,i guess the easiest way to explain it is take a ice cream cone remove a inch in the middle and put the cone back together without the pice you removed. same scenario on the truck

Anywhere on the roof pillar posts you want. There will only be a couple of wires inside the pillars that support the windshield and roof. They are for the dome lights. Good luck.

I take it this is your first "chop job" ? Before you ruin your truck you need to go to a few big car show / swap meets and talk to the guys who have been doin' it for yrs. Glass is your biggest problem when choppin tops. So it is better to consult the "old school boys" before starting this project. GOOD LUCK!!

cut 2 inches above the hood line and level line all the way to back.
