how long after a c-section can I start to excersise and what different stomach muscle excerises can I do?

Well you have to be careful. But I would say you can start as soon as a week. The first week you can not do anything really. But after that do what you are comftorable doing. I worked out with my baby. Like put her/him on your legs and lift with her. Put your baby on your stomach and hold her with your hands while you lift your rear and do butt crunches. Start out with very light workouts. I also put my baby in a carrier on my stomach and got on the treadmill. She loved it when we did this and she was able to be close to me. I also put her in this to clean the house.

When i had both my c-sects years ago both nurse said I could start to exercise the butt muscles right off. It was like,,excuse the description,,squeeze your butt like your going to the bathroom almost. But other than that is was like a two weeks b4 I could start to even lift something light with my legs. As long as I kept it up I could increase the type of exercise that I did. Walking helped a lot.
Crunches came in but slowly at first then more of them. Then i just did a routine of any exercises til I got a flatter tummy.

When the skin incision is completely healed you can start. Give it four weeks and ease into exercises, Using stomach muscles is desirable.

I had a c section 4 months ago and I am still not exercising.. I think when teh pain stops.

i wouldnt excercise until 8 weeks after csection...but when you do start out slowly then work your way to more ...you dont want to overdue it the first time...
