There are many language schools in the DR, I'm looking to study for about a month. Specifically, I'm interested in a few that have schools both in Santo Domingo and in Sosua.
Lastly, I'm hoping to stay on in the DR for 2-4 weeks more to spend time at a medical clinic as a volunteer. (I'm a family practice NP) Any help would be appreciated. I'm having difficulty finding an appropriate volunteer opp. in the DR. Thanks

A great place to learn Spanish is at Berlitz School located in the National District. You could also try the Instituto Dominico-Americano (Dominican American Institute), also in Santo Domingo's National District.

For volunteer opportunities as a Nurse, I must admit I don't know but surely I can help you find out. My organization (International Family Aid & Support Center) is often in contact with a non profit medical facility that may be open to receive you.

If you are interested, we can talk to them. Write to me or visit our website for more contact options. See below.
