I was scared when i seen those two pink lines on that pregnancy test telling me i was pregnant when my husband and i had been trying for a year. It is normal to feel so scared. If you feel like you are ready to watch, feed, etc a baby 24/7 for the next 18 years then you are ready.
Childbirth/Pregnancy is a scary thing. Everyone i think gets scared, you will do fine. Good luck

You are probably as ready as you'll ever be. Having a baby can be the most terrifying and the most beautiful thing. I have yet to meet a first time parent to be that wasn't terrified. You are definately more ready than most people who already have children.

you wont ever be truely ready for a baby... but from the sound of it you are about as ready as you can be- that is if you both want children. Really you need to sit down with your husband and the two of you should decide if you are ready.
Sounds like you've got it covered though.

Okay, my parents had this problem as well. They decided if they can take care of a cat for a whole year (babying it, feeding it like 2-3 times a day, washing, ect) they'd be ready for a baby.

No one is ever completely ready to have a baby. There will always be something. You both will be scared and that is normal. You will just need to trust that what you are doing is right.

You don't know. But children are a wonderful blessing. My kids made our wonderful marriage so much more wonderful. Don't be scared. Take paarenting classes if it will help with your anxiety. You sound ready to me. But you don't know until you hold your child in your arms for the first time. Then you'll know that your ready,

Well my fiance has two kids and let me tell you...I dont want anymore. Why you ask? Because for one, unless you are staying at home with this kid, you are looking at about $500 a month at least in day-care, not to mention all the stuff this kid needs. And then the kid grows up, and wants real expensive stuff. Then you have to always be putting money away for this little bugger's college fund. Expect to scrape about 35k together for that. And when this bugger gets old enough to not "be your little girl or boy," around the age of 13, this kid is going to start telling you what is up, and eventually will start having sex, etc. AND I HOPE TO GOD YOU ARE NOT ONE OF THOSE PARENTS THAT IS GOING TO DO WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE THE CHILD HAPPY, BECAUSE YOU WILL MAKE A MONSTER. I had to put that in caps, because that is so common now. I see kids running the household all the time now, pushing the parents around. How pathetic.
