His crimes were against his own people so it was appropriate that he was tried in Iraq. Unfortunately, they totally botched it by looking like a bunch of vengeful thugs rather than a system of justice.

To some extent I agree, Saddam was a bad person, but then I disagree that anyone now in office in Iraq or of United States had any right to try Saddam.
What justification does the Hague have in international affairs?
The Euros use it to justify their actions much like the US uses the UN.
Where was the investigation of war crimes commited by NATO forces in Balkan conflict . Instead of overall conduct of all nations they just concentrated on reasons to justify invasion of old Yugoslavian republic.
Wahre is Hague when crimes commited by Euro energy giants such as the Nethelands shell oil destroy and exploit native peoples lands in foreign countries.
Where were they when a British royal and his buisness friends tried to overthrow an African nation.
While they profess humanitarian concerns they do not delve very deeply into who and why many euros profit from the crimes of Euros and others including US who sold weapons and support regimes who supply them economic security.
The truth is a small international entity has so weakend any populaces ability to find out or have ability to condemn the real powers and instead are being manipulated into serfdom just following a created reality.
Ends justify the means and eat or be eaten prevails at the top and the finess of todays methods has replaced the pure butrish amnners of past to make people conform to the systems needs.
Saddam had no real trial just a political propaganda show as last reported info on trial orders shows.
Wehn Prosecutor was bring up records of Saddams actions he and judge closed of Mics whrn Turkeys name came inot reading, quoting " It is a closed matter as it concerns Turkish and Iraquis Political relations.
Truth has no reaity it is just perceptions. Same as with Hague who live on long dead and past hisotry to try and justify still being in existence.
Try Bush and Blair for what crimes?
They commited no crimes in nations eyes as the legality of their actions is written into their politcal existence.
their peers do not want to try them as they hope someday to be able to act in same manner when and if they ever gain he power.

Thank you for the completely retarded question, please let me respond, and I hope I do so in a way you can understand.

Saddam was Iraqi and he was tried by the elected Iraqi judicial system, found guilty for slaughtering thousands of shiites, and sentenced to death.

Bush is American and would be tried for a crime under the American Judicial system, however he is has committed no crime, so the point is mute.

Blair is British, and ect ect....get it?
