No way. But it would be nice if it were that easy to put a stop to. Good Question

belive it of not it is illegal to commit adultry in some states...but the laws are not enforced...there are many laws that are on state books from the 16 or 1700s...that are now enforced...adultry refers to married people though...b/f--g/f shouldnt have sex anyway....i know you've heard that before but that is the way i feel...beautiful marriages have been torn apart because on spouse was stupid...dont let this happen to you...if you are the victim then this person really didn't love you to start with...if you did the straying, then shame on you...you used that person as well as your b/f-g/f-husband or wife...and you deserve whatever you get...look at what this person is to you...if you forgive them...then good for you...if not then move on...personally i have found that if they do it once they'll do it again...and each time it becomes easier and easier every time...

Murder and rape and robbery and child molestation are all a criminal offense....people are still committing those. So, I don't believe for a second that making adultery a criminal offense would stop people from cheating on their partners.

Probably not. If I know some people, they would probably get a thrill to try to get away with breaking the law.

There is a law against speeding. Go out to any highway and see what that does.

of course not. Does a court order to pay child support or do jail time make people pay it? No. Do DUI laws keep people from driving drunk? No.
