My case is against Canada Life that breached their contract with me.As I have a structured settlement that was placed into an annuity with them by the courts to settle a personal injury claim.
The monies are unassignable and their contract is irrevecoable that no one but me should be paid monthly tax frrr from these funds. The problem is an illegal garnishment occurred by my ex-wifes lawyerlabeling the funds as investment income where they are not.

Garnishments typically only occur for good reason. Without knowing the reason for the garnishment (ex., is this for past-due child support), it's hard to give a good answer.

You'd do better by contacting the local Bar Association or even the Yellow Pages than asking on Yahoo Answers.
