I need to back up a bunch ( about 20 gb) would it be better to get an external hard drive? Any recomendations

You should be able to do it on less than a dozen disks
if you plan on adding a whole bunch more you might want an external
You should shop tigerdirect.com for one
however, Cd's hold enough to do it
mine hold 700MB it would take 3 to back up all your photos

it all depends on the capacity of the cd and the size of the files you wanna save to it

20 Giga byte keychain disk can hold thousands of pictures !!!

Yeah, I would definetely get the hard drive.
