If they plan to have children, sure. Otherwise it gets too confusing.

I do and that's why I did when I got married. I wanted my future children to realize that marriage is coming into union with another person and that the husband is the head of the family and so thus the whole family takes his last name. Unfortunately (or fortunately, I should say), I got divorced and it was actually a pain in the @$$ trying to change all my documents and ID's back into my maiden name.

I would stilll take my future husband's last name, though.

many women presently are opting to maintain their very own final call. and there is not something incorrect with it. considering our society hasn't particularly yet graduated to the subsequent point in human rights, you would be able to desire to doubtlessly run into some criminal hassles by retaining your maiden call, yet many celebrities do so.For years, Hispanic women have not purely retained their maiden names, however the husband takes the lady's final call. i'm uncertain precisely the way it works, yet that's the reason some Hispanic names are see you later.

It all depends on how stupid the man or woman's name would sound I think. For example I work with a guy who's name is Bland Rice. What were his parents thinking when they named him that you know.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with taking your husbands last name. It's not like you lose your identity when you lose your maiden name.

YEs...the attitude that women have nowadays, that they can do their own thing, is why there are so many divorces....this is reflected in them wanting to keep or hyphenate their last name...because they are not willing to commit 110% to the marriage.
