It's my 18th birthday in a few days and my parents want to buy me a phone. If you own a v3 can you tell me how good it is/was and whether it has any quirks/irritating problems with it. Suggestions of other phones are also welcome.
Would basically like a phone with a camera, fair amount of memory, not bad looking, bluetooth, preferable black and stylish. Thanks for your help!

its the worst phone ever!!!i know its stylish, its black has a greatcamera thats why me and along with me my friends bought it aswell and now we all are like why....its been a year we have had this phone. its firstly very delicate, and not reliable atall especially when it comes to battery. i charge my phone only when it needs to eb charge i have never had battery problems with anyother phone. its nice to use it for couple of months then you will know the drawbacks. i started charging my phone everyday after 4-5 months of usage, the battery dies very quickly, its not with me its the problem all my friends also have. one of my friend broke her flip can you imagine it just came apart when it fell from her hand. other's friends phone's flip got loose, thank god it hasnt happened with me but its not a very reliable phone.
oh yeah obne more thing that happened, once for no god dawm reason my memory vanished like my whole phone book entry got erased!!!! how irritating
DON"T BUY IT
i am an unhappy customer.

I have the V3 from Cingular. I got it last month when I updated my contract. I have owned many Motorola phones and I have to say that they FINALLY fixed the charging problem with the port on the phone. They use a USB plug now to charge the phone, this is also a good thing if youre using a notebook or computer and want to charge your phone. All you have to do is buy the right wire and you can charge it!

I love that the RAZR isn't bulky and that you can reprogram most buttons. There are some old versions of the RAZR that are out there that need their screens and keypad cleaned like once every two weeks because they get too smudged. The V3 R is the one that doesnt smudge anymore if you want to get that one (I dont know if a quick wipe of the screen is a problem for you or not).

I like the video camera and the camera in the phone too. The camera is much better than the kind that Motorola used to have in their phones. I would suggest Motorola Phone Tools for creating ringtones. If you want, you can also get a program called Data Pilot (www.datapilot.com) which does the same thing (I think that data pilot is cheaper priced too).

The Razor V3 is a very hard phone to love. It has a slow bluetooth transfer rate, the memory is poor (it lets you have 1 full song and thats about it) and to be honest the camera is not too good either. I'll admit that it does look VERY stilish, but that is about the only good feature about it. The Sony Ericsson K800i is one very sexy black phone, it has a brilliant camera (3.2 megapixels) fast bluetooth transfer, and quite a good memory (but you can buy a memory card for it in addition!) To be honest, the K800i is the only phone I've ever had where I've not wanted to get an upgrade within a week!

I upgraded to a V3i from a Samsung and I am really really disappointed with the phone.

The battery has to be charged every day on mine now, and I've only had the phone for 4 months! It also does this really annoying thing where it freezes when I am trying to send a text.

I also seem to have problems when I connect it up to the PC, it never recognises the USB Port and says to connect the phone into the port when its already in!

Its the second worse phone i've had after an LG!

I own the V3B I have had many phones in the past and this is by far the worst! It sometimes wont let me recieve my texts or send them. I find the memory very small also. I had one song as my ringtone which i had downloaded and could not take any videos as I didnt have enough space. I would try something different if I were you.

do no longer purchase a V3 razr. no longer nicely worth it. My pals have had them, they have dropped them, and now they are in telephone heaven. they are fairly astounding searching telephones, yet they are VERY flimsy. in case you want a motorola like that, bypass for a KRZR or a RAZR v3X 3g telephone, it has a memory card hollow (and my pals got here with one) so a lot of memory, looks fairly astounding, you'll get it in a lot of hues and is stylish. It also has Bluetooth.
