When I bought house and had survey done I was told that there was asbestos present in the concrete sheeting. Is this only the roof or will it also be present in the concrete walls. Is it the dangerous stuff and does anyone know a rough price on removal? Thanks

Typically if the surface in intact, there's no problem. If it's actively flaking off, that's where the problem is. An acceptable and cost-effiecient way of asbestos abatement is to cover it up. The walls could potentially contain asbestos as a fire retardant. Unless they're crumbling, a few coats of paint will protect and prevent them from sloughing off. Use a good primer, like KILZ

Your garage probably has the asbestos shingle siding. The shingle are about 24" long and 12" high. They are pretty costly to remove. The only time that there is a problem is when there is flaking as mentioned earlier. Keep the shingles painted and you should have no problem.
