I realize that yahoo has the profile (which I think is awesome) but I'm sick of being in leagues that I update my roster every day and some idiots in there don't play after the first week. So you end up in a 7 team league instead of 10, or whatever.

I propose that yahoo give rankings based on past performance. So, for example, I'm an average player. If I get a few more 10 out of 12 or some bad performance, my rating would drop. This way, if you open your league to the public, you could say that the players' rating must be like 80 out of 100. If yahoo gives the ratings, it would be impartial and legit. Someone that "good" would not want to hurt their rating and would be SURE to compete all season long.

What do you think? And yahoo people... pass this idea onto the fantasy folks PLEASE!

To some extent yahoo does this. If you look at the overall performance at the top, there's a graph from amateur to all star bassed on average performance. I too would like to see something more meaningful, as this doesn't say HOW ACTIVE the player is just their average finish. Obviously it also doesn't take into consideration if you were active but unlucky or if you were in a league where the comissioner cheated and locked a team. Imperfect though it is, it does help. Also if you're starting a league yourself, specifically invite people from public leagues you know to be active owners.

You can fix all this by being the commissioner of your league or group. After creating a league go to the main site of which fantasy sport you are playing and post invites to your league or invite friends. You can go through each person's fantasy sport profile and see who does usually well or usually does not do well at all. If you see someone always performing poorly then kick them out of your league or group. Yahoo already tracks fantasy performances in there Fantasy Profile feature. Just remember things come up in people's lives and they have to concentrate on that instead of fantasy. So it is not a full proof system.

That is a really good idea. Im tired of getting people like that in my public or created leagues.

That would be a good idea, but that would pretty much kill the idea. People would jump ship to other sites and that just wouldn't work out. I do like the idea though, good thinking!

the only thing that is good about people doing that is that you win easier, then the following season you can join those special leagues for people who won the previous season. good idea though.
