If you are Indian, perhaps you can wear a plain colored saree with a thin golden border but if you want to wear a western outfit, choose anything formal but not too flashy. You can wear pinks, blues, mauves, lavenders, greens, maroons and blood reds.

I'm curious, your farewell to where? Are you dying? More information would be nice...but to answer your question, forget a dress. Dresses are sooooo 2006. If you really want to make a statement and leave with a bang, I would suggest you wear a bra and a thong with some red pumps. Nothing says wow and goodbye like a half naked chick wearing hooker heels (lol). "You came, they saw, now GOODBYE!" The people that you're saying farewell to will never forget you for as long as you live.

since ur a bit on the shorter side wear a single dark coloured dress ie mayb a churidar or saree. its winter time so u can go for rich colours like rust, forest green or my personal fav midnight purple or aubergine.. wear a saree in deep purple colour(georgette) with work on the border in silver.. u wil look fabulous!! mayb u can go for a strappy blouse.. take a little clutch purse. and ya keep the sweet smile on..

you can were dark and a bright colour dress. like red,maroon or a very royal colour

soft colors like a pink, or lavender and where extremely high heels. im 5' 2 and that will give you a longer taller look
