I do believe that is a difficult age, because of child labor laws, But McDonald's, is the best for just starting out in the work force, They are so by the book and have a excellent training program, they also are very supportive, and that's what you need the most.

At 14, your jobs are very limited do to "child labor laws." Odds are (at least this applies for most states I've lived in) you will probably be limited to bagging groceries, picking berries at a farm, or some other boring job. I'm truly sorry about that.
If I were you (and I had to pick one of those awful jobs), I would go for bagging groceries. Sometimes (even if they're not supposed to) you can get tipped. =)
Also try getting a newspaper route. Those aren't too bad, although many newspapers nowadays require that you are old enough to drive a car. =(
Good luck!!! It's good that you're so motivated... I didn't even bother trying to get a job until I was 16!

You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit
http://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

your best bet is doing odd jobs for people in your town such as mowing lawn etc...(there is nothing wrong with working in fast food) since you're only 14 though I don't think you can get a regular job usually you have to be 16 to do that

i think you should babysit it might be weird for a guy to babysit-- well you might think that--- but it does get you easy money which can help a lot---or you could do some chores and house work around the house and have your parents pay you or just babysit your siblings and have your parents pay you. you can also do many chores around the neighborhood like mow the lawn or anything that anyone asks you do to!!!

Pick a place you don't really like to eat, cause once you work there and see how things go down , you'll never be able to eat there again

You could start delivering newspapers or even start your own business. Help people with homework, teach something, fix computers or something like that.
