We would end up dressing like Adam & Eve...fig leaves or trading animal pelts at trading posts.

Chck out what happened in the old USSR- since everybody was guaranteed a job (to get clothes, etc.) they were all miserable. Some were alcoholics, some violent...
but when nobody has to work for things, this is what happens.
Now, if people got all of this stuff for work vouchers, well,t hen that's the same thing as money.
It would work better.
We may as well just leace it as money.
