My partner loves Indian food, but I don't like that smell or even the taste of curry. What are some options for me if I go to eat at an Indian restaurant?

samosas are good, and without that curry taste. Also, tandoori chicken, while bright red, is very unspicy!

It's hard to know what to recommend without knowing what you like to eat.
but here is a strategy you can try. first, identify the types of foods from that sector of the world (thai, japan, china) that have a mixture of vegetables and/or meats with spices of varying intensities, find out the primary spices and combination of foods that appeal to you. then call or e-mail the chef at your partner's favorite indian restaurant, and get his or her advice. then, when you sit down with your partner, you will be more knowlegable and confident about your options.
