I have a MacBook with an 80GB HDD and it only has 1.34 GB of free space left, so I want to go out and buy a new external HDD. Now I dont want to break the bank, but at the same time, Im looking for something that size wise, will be future proof. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great.

I am not sure I anyone can help you with "future proof"!

For now perhaps your best bet are the external HD with the USB type interface. USB is on almost all personal computers and can be utilized by MAC, Windows, Linux and more.

USB may be a tad slower, but makes up for it with the universal nature.

Decide what you want it for. If you are going to save 100 films on it you will need at least 500 GB, if you are going to save software on it, 100 GB will be plenty. If this helps you out, try my site you may like it -

An exterior hardchronic is in simple terms that...and exterior hardchronic. It connects to regardless of pc you plug its USB connector connects to. not something will be saved on it until eventually you tell the computer to save to it. good manufacturers to seem at are Seagate, Toshiba and Western digital. a good length to seem at is 500GB or higher. i take advantage of two 1TB drives on my personal computer and a extra transportable 250GB to apply on different pcs. on your case, you should probable flow all of your media that is not element of iTunes over to the externalchronic alongside with information, images and downloads.
