I' ve been using Airtel's postpaid GPRS service and experienced a very slow speed of 9.00 kbps rather than a speed of 115.2 kbps and I've been sometimes paying a sum of rs. 600 or more than that rather than rs. 249. Can you please suggest me that which network gives me a better speed of internet service for a fixed price exceeding not too much amount of money. As far as I am concerned I also have came to know BSNL has a very good service in which ASDL facility can be received and can buy a BSNL modem for upgrading the speed of 2 Mbps which is 2 megabyte per second. So please let me know what is the right price for all of that as i am little worried and confused??

from what i have known Airtel provides the cheapest GPRS - coz at Rs250 per month you have unlimited download. And your speed depends on your mobile phone , for eg. Nokia 6630 gives an avg speed of around 5-7 kbps whereas N73 gives around 10-15kbps.
I see u mentioned something abt Modem. Are you trying to get net for your Pc. Then i think try BSNL broadband

if u are trying to use GPRS conncection for ur internet usage .. hope AIRTEL is best.. because only 250 for unlimited usage or download... i'm usaing now straight..
if u are thinking for broadband definitely BSNL is best no doubt.. they are now going 2 mbps for existing users of 256 kbps under any plan including 250 monthly plan.. but downloads may vary according to plan.. also Airtel is giving broadband services which is also nice nearly bsnl. but only in selected cities....

definitely BSNL is better. recently they had increased their speed .As i am using this service since last one year it is best as i found.
