Fear is imaginary, it does not exist, our minds build it up for reasons that are deep seated within us. The crowd in front of you does not know anything what you are going to say, they will be listening to you for the first time, you will be speaking your knowledge, so speak with confidence, prepare a good speech, and practice it well, read what ever you are going to say several times until you know it well, even if you forget dont get scared, just say what you know about the topic. Remember only you know well and the crowd is just listening to you, you are the expert in the field , Good luck

Some more solutions:
1. Know very well what you are going to tell them.
2. Before getting there practice visualizing yourself giving the speech successfully. If you visualize yourself making errors, that is what you preparing yourself to do.
3. As an exercise, speak to a friend, while looking her/him in the eyes between the eyes continuously. It's useful to be confortable to look people in the eyes.
4. When in front of the group, look above people's eyes when you're scared to look them in the eyes.
5. When in front of the audience, just start.
6. Get to know your audience. It's very useful to let them talk first, if possible. Ask them what are they interested in or ask them to present themselves and say one or two things about themselves (if audience is not a crowd).
7. Use visualizations: think of them as..., your family, friends, people that you want to help, or even absurd vizualizations as rabbits, aliens, teddy-bears.
8. Watch movies with stage-comedians and see what they do.
9. Think of beliefs that might help you. Richard Bandler said once something like: "if God will come to my workshop, I'll invite Him to take a seat."
10. Think of something you do well and do the speech with the same attitude. Think that you will win anyway from this experience. Others don't take the chance.

Do it and feel good about it!

Sorry dear but there will always be fear when you make a speech in front of an audience... It's just how you let it affect you and how you take control and handle it.
Start by being prepared for your speech, make sure you know your points.
Try out your speech in front of the mirror, learn how to smile confidently, then in front of friends, keep looking at your friends and smiling, cos you know your points in your head.
Before your speech, keep positive, tell yourself you know your points and go through your points briefly in your head. Don't think about your audience.
Go up, smile, take a moment, crack a joke if allowed to dispel tension. Else greet the audience and get going.
Look at people's ears or forehead if you can't look at them directly. Look at people in all directions, do not simply sweep across the audience.
Best way to dispel your fear?
Keep making speeches. Practice gives you confidence.
Good Luck!

To give speech infront of a crowd, first of all you should build boldness. You can equip this boldness only through deep study about the topic on which you are supposed to give speech.
Once u know each & every matter of your subject from the king to the kite, you will naturally aquire boldness & will be able to give speech infront of the crowd keeping ur head high up in the air.

My husband said he was the same way when he signed
up for a Basic Public Speaking class in college. He was
terrified to get up before an audience before he took the
class. He said he just concentrated on his speech and
doing the best he could do on his speech and he actually
worked through his fear. He said he actually looked forward
to making speeches.

I've done this a few times. There's an old axiom about imagining your audience sitting there naked. The first time I thought of that, with the audience I had, I shuddered. I think the best way, until you get used to it, is to look out over the crowd, even occasionally make eye contact with someone, but not really see everything. Don't really focus on the audience (unless you're telling jokes) but instead focus on what you're presenting.

First, recognize that fear of speaking in front of a crowd is just a feeling, not a reality. It is all what your inner dialogue in your head is telling you. If you are constantly thinking that you are fearful of public speaking, then that will be your end result. Your thoughts are your reality. I think it would be best for you to do some positive self-talk, and do some reading on changing your thoughts and actions. These books can be found in the new age/ spiritual sections of the book store. You can manifest and receive any feeling, action, goal that you desire. You just have to learn to realign your thinking. It has worked for me! Best of luck to you! Think positive, don't dwell on the negative!

Knowing your subject very well makes you confident and solves 50% of the stage fright. Be absolutely prepared so nothing can shake you. Remember everyone else is just another human being just like you and me... no big deal. Look around while talking as if you are looking at people but actually look into space if actually looking at people make you nervous. Keep points with you to refer to - in an organised format. If people hoot.. or shooo... you dont panic give a few seconds for them to shut up and then carry on as if you are not affected at all. Dont get unnecessarily stressed out. Just Chill! You just got to do it once and succeed. Nothing succeeds like success. If you do it once you can do it again and again and again - so all the best!! Go ahead. Im with you.

I learned to do that by going to Sunday School. You probably will be given your turn to read out loud, only a few lines, but you will notice your head is on fire as you read in front of people, each time you do it you will see how small a thing it is to read or give a speech in front of people really is. It's only for a little while you'll be there, and time passes so quickly. good luck....people that charge money to teach you this will not tell you to go to Sunday School as it is free.....

How to eliminate the fear of swimming? And
How to culminate the fear of bi-cycling?
Just you have to start first, and the fear would be gone next! For the very first time when you started learning to ride the bi-cycle, how did you feel? We all would have considered, this is a bad job, and it is mere waste of time, for us it is not our cup of tea, better we will leave it off. But, after some consistent practice we got our "body-language" to ride our way!
SO, KNOW THAT FOR SURE, NOTHING COMES IMMEDIATELY AT YOUR CALL! BUT, WITH LITTLE MORE BODILY PRACTICE, THAT IS, MORE THAN YOUR MERE MENTAL PRACTICES!
