I'm sorry to say this, but the idea that it takes 2 years for the pill to get out of your system is just not true. I know a number of people who have got pregnant the month they have come off the pill. I got pregnant 2 months after coming off and that was the first time of trying.
If you have been trying for 18 months to no avail, you should see a doctor to get some tests.

I've never heard of the 2 years before. I think a lot of it depends on what pill you were on too. For example, I was on Triphasil 28. I stopped taking it 2 weeks before my wedding because we wanted to start a family right away. I figured I would go off of it "to give it time to get out of my system". Well, I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks after my wedding!! So, it didn't take long at all. I expressed my surprise to my OBGYN and he said that that type of pill is used to HELP women get pregnant. He said that if they are having difficulty conceiving, sometimes they will be put on Triphasil 28, and when they stop (I'm not sure how long they have to take it) they usually become pregnant right away! Good thing I didn't miss any!! Any way, talk to your doctor, see what he/she thinks! Most of all, don't stress!! You'll probably get pregnant when you're not stressing over it. Good Luck!!

No, it is not true. Birth control pills are only effective for the cycle they were taken for, and not afterwards.

Your body may take a bit of time to adjust, so conception may be more difficult to time, but your ovaries should release an egg on its schedule. The problem is, you don't know exactly what that schedule is the first month or two.

well, I went to my doctor asking her when my husband and I could start trying after I come off the pill. She told me that I should just stop the pill and have fun trying :p A friend of mine also said that someone she knew got pregnant about 2 weeks off the pill and a friend of hers took 2 years to get pregnant, so it depends I guess.

different anybody is different. some people say the longer you're on the pill the longer it takes to get pregnant. yet I dont imagine it is shown in any respect. some people get pregnant immediately after, people take some months or more suitable. regrettably there is not any thanks to entice close which one you'd be. My suggestion is to benefit your cycles with ovulation prediction kits, and observe in the experience that your cycles are back to widespread. even as they are then you honestly have each probability of having pregnant.

Honey, you are safe to try to conceive a child already, 18 months is plenty of time (more than enough).

As long as you're healthy, feeling good, having normal periods, and believing that a child is what you both are wanting and needing, then go for it! Good luck!

It just depends on the person.
Try to relax and if you haven't conceived withhin another 6 months make an appointment with your GP. Good luck x

it took about 2 years for the pill to come out of my system. So don't worry the more you get anxious the more difficult it will be to get pregnant.
