Yes, those are called Zingers and they are just your nerves and breast tissue healing and repairing itself.

If you are really concerned, call your doctor and discuss it with them. :)

I had a breast lump removed a few years ago which left a 1 1/2 inch scar at the edge of my areola. I experienced shooting pain for almost a year afterwards. It was very painful and occurred at random times. It did subside and I have no pain now. The doctor told me that it was the nerves healing and it would take time but it would go away. I think the areola is the most sensitive area and if work for your reduction was done around it, the nerves will need to heal. I had a biopsy a month ago and have had no pain after a couple days of being tender, but it was in an area that is not as sensitive as the areola. I hope this helps. I would think those shooting pains will subside and go away after a while. You should definitley ask your doctor though to be sure.

Breast Reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

no, it's probably a pinched nerve or an adjustive reaction to the procedure.
