I have 6 months left of my 18 month contract, but am spending 3 times my tariff cost on extra costs. I pay about £35 for rental and 400mins and 500 texts any network anytime, but my bill comes regularly to £90 odd pounds as I am using about 600+ minutes. Can I call and negotiate a better deal? What kind of deal should I expect?

You need to call Orange and change your tariff as this will save you money over the next 6 months.
1. Some new phone companies will buy you out of the last 6 months of your contract as long as you sign up to theirs
2. Do not get another 18 month contract.
3. Every year i call Orange on my upgrade date and haggle a new deal and price or i threaten to leave. I always get what I want!! They need our business as there is so many deals out there now!!

Good Luck

contact orange and change your tarrif.you can normally do this with any network after 1-3 months of the contract start.

when it comes to upgrade in 6 months time DONT take 18 months again as they are not that good a deal.think about it.the network is making you take a new phone for six months longer than usual thus making you pay more in the long run for the handset.
this is somthing all the networks are trying to do to trick people into thinking they are getting good deals.sit down and do the maths.its a con.
i got my last upgrade by asking for my PAC code.
to keep me they gave me 12 months half price, extra text and an up to date free handset.
do your homework and dont listen to a commision based salesman in a call centre or shop cos they'll do whats best for their commision not whats best for you.how do i know this.........

yes it should be ok to upgrade to a better deal!! The contract is there to prevent you from going to another phone company, not to prevent you from upgrading. I don't think you can negotiate a better deal, but what you can do is change your current tarriff. have a look on the Orange website - it will give you a list of the various tariffs they have and you just select one that is most suited to your needs!!
